I haven't been here in a while! Christmas was great! The girls had a blast! Some of our favorite moments over the last couple of weeks would have to include decorating Christmas cookies with Grandma Mae, watching the Polar Express with Mimi and Cha Cho, and of course Having Oncle Dave here for almost a week!
Santa actually came a little bit early and left a HUGE doll house next door at Mimi and Cha Cho's house for all three girls! It is the perfect fit for all of their Barbies! The elevator is especially fascinating! They only got to open one other present on Christmas Eve. They got new Christmas pj's so they would "look nice" when Santa peeked in on them. They were very excited! Wonder how many years that will last?
I did not think that Brianna was going to go to sleep on Christmas Eve! She was SO excited for Santa I thought she might burst! I had to go back into her room several times to tell her that if she did not go to sleep he would not come and I believe Dave went in to tell her at least once too! At one point she told me that she heard Santa!
They were naturally thrilled to find all that Santa left for them on Christmas morning! Behaving (or as Brianna would say "being have") for Santa pays off! Is it too early for me to tell them that Santa is watching again for next year?!
Christmas day was good. Just all of us joined by Linda (Angie's Mom) and her friend Ben. Uncle Ben found the PERFECT gift for the girls....a whole box of dress up shoes!! I have been listening to a constant "clop clop clip clop" on the concrete floors for days now. Thanks Linda and Ben....I think!
Santa forgot to bring one of their gifts inside and Uncle Bo and Aunt Angie found it on the front porch! It is a "Smart Jump". A small one person trampoline with bars to hold onto that counts jumps, plays music etc. To say they love it would be an understatement! I had to buy a kitchen timer to set to insure that they get equal time on it and to encourage taking turns!! I have some video of them on it that I will have to post!
I was a bit worried about how yesterday might go for us! Oncle Dave is gone, Daddy back to work, Mimi and Cha Cho not next door.....but they did pretty well! Thank goodness! They were beyond excited to see Ayden last night so that was a bonus!
Today we are cleaning...trying to anyway! It isn't easy cleaning a toilet with all of the help that I have here! We have friends coming out for New Years and it would be nice to "regroup" around here but it isn't looking good! At least the adults will outnumber the kiddos...by about 1 anyway! The girls will spend sometime with Angie this afternoon so I can get a bit more done....ALONE! Not sure what I would do without Angie most days!!
I will post a few pictures and video later or when I get a chance!!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and Best Wishes for a Happy, Healthy 2009!!!!!
