I have been wanting to start one of these for quite some time and just haven't. Well, that isn't true...Brandon started one for all 3 girls and I have neglected that site! I will try again.
I'm sitting here enjoying the peace and quiet of both Brianna and Samantha sleeping. I know that I should be folding laundry, cleaning the kitchen, blah blah blah.
Enough about me.....a little about the girls!
Brianna is now 3 1/2...turning 4 in May and at times I think she is going on 24! Actually she will insist that she is already 4 on most days! Samantha is just about 2 1/2 and I can not believe that she will be 3 in July! Time is flying like I never thought was possible!
Yesterday was a big day for Samantha! She is officially out of her crib and in a "big girl" toddler bed! As Brian was taking down the crib I just stood there and cried. Talk about feeling like a loser! I could not help it though. Brianna started out in that crib over 3 years ago and it quickly was turned over to Samantha. In fact, Brianna actually got the boot from the crib at only 12 months old because little sister was on her way!
Samantha has always been our champion sleeper. I was only slightly worried about the transition. She did manage to take a good nap although the one time I peeked into the room she was obviously climbing back into the bed! At bedtime she went down as easy as always although I did hear her talking in there for a while.
Brianna also has quite a bit to be proud of! She has been sleeping in her very own full size bed for a few weeks now. She has been my bedtime nightmare for over a year and now all of a sudden she loves her bed and loves going to bed....well most nights anyway! Had we known that a new bed would have brought about such a change we would have gotten it a long time ago! It is amazing how one day things are just different!
Brianna's other MAJOR accomplishment is pooping on the potty! She has been out of diapers during the day for quite a while now but has absolutely REFUSED to poop on the potty. She would run to me, holding her belly, screaming for a diaper each time she had the urge to go. Kind of annoying but I knew it would not last forever. Well, all of a sudden in the last several days she has decided that it is fun to poop on the potty! Well heck! If I got sticker and M&Ms every time I...well....you know what I mean! I actually made Brian go in the bathroom to see her last night and when he was walking out I made him go back in to make sure he made a really big deal! I swear we almost had a party in the bathroom the other day!
Samantha is next! She knows what to do but has not done anything consistently when it comes to the potty! Now that Brianna seems to be almost there I will start focusing on Samantha! Ready for round 2!
No more babies....kind of sad, kind of exciting, kind of a relief...depends on when you catch me!
